Polyphenyloxide modified – modified polyphenylene ether (mPPO- mPPE): amorphous polymer belonging to the family of polyethers. It is often defined AMENDED (usually with an “m” before or after the abbreviation) because it is a blend: PPO (or PPE) is a pure polymer extremely difficult to transform, therefore it is added with another polymer (PS ) that allows the blend thus obtained to make the rheological properties that allow the transformation (eg: molding).
The most important feature of this polymer-blend is the inner resistance to hydrolysis (and in certain cases chemical) which makes the product more used in the field of fluid engineering.
It also has good thermal performance (softening temperature) and resistance to weather and outdoor environments.
